Pierre Schmidt received his training in Geneva and was first confronted in London with the teachings and healing successes of homeopathy during an influenza epidemic in 1918. Here he also met J. H. Clarke and J. Weir and travelled to the USA in 1922.
There Dr. Schmidt met Austin and Gladwin, the co-founders of the American Foundation School, and returned enthusiastically to Geneva to establish his practice.
He subsequently published several writings, was a collaborator on the Final General Repertory of Kent and translated the Organon into French. In 1925 he initiated the founding of the Liga Medicorum Homeopathic Internationalis (LMHI) and was, among other things, a keynote speaker at the Hahnemann Memorial in Washington DC on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Hahnemann's birthday.
In 1927, Dr. Pierre Schmidt and his wife, the pharmacist Dora Nagel, founded the company Laboratoire homéopathique Schmidt-Nagel SA, Rue du Pré-Bouvier 27, 1217 Meyrin, Switzerland.
