Description

Hepar sulph has traditionally been used for symptoms associated with inflammation which is slow to resolve, such as with ear infections, wounds, chest colds, abscesses. It may assist sore throats where pain spreads to ear. Pain anywhere may be splinter-like, or described like a fish bone or pin.

It is also well indicated for the later stages of croup when it becomes wet, and for hacking, barking, loose coughs with yellow mucous.

Hep Sulph may be helpful with skin conditions such as cold sores or herpes with suppuration.

Over-sensitivity is a keynote. Patients may be angry, irritable and very difficult when sick. They are usually very chilly, worse for any draught and wanting to be wrapped up.

Better for warmth, wrapping up.

Worse for getting cold, being in a draught, cold dry weather, fresh air, at night, touch, pressure.
