A word to homeopaths about the Harness Your Success auditing workshop: At the Aurum Project, we are working to foster the development of homeopathic research in Australia. Collecting simple data from your practice can really help move forward our knowledge about homeopathy. From looking at clinical data collected at the grassroots level, homeopaths can help contribute to something extraordinary – something never before collected in Australia. Be part of the new-wave of homeopathic practice in this country and come together with your colleagues to contribute to this valuable process of clinical data collection.
It need not be greatly time consuming, or complicated, or intimidating. Learn some straightforward, simple steps to absorb into your patient information gathering and you will be well on your way to contributing to the establishment and growth of homeopathic research in Australia.
The workshop has been called Harness Your Success because the function of collecting data is not only to help further research and the success of homeopathy in general, but it is also for your own success in practice. The workshop will help you to identify, understand and apply data from the many untapped sources in your practice. Australia wide, Homeopaths and natural therapists have a wealth of clinical and practical experience, yet this potential remains unexplored and unpublished. Whether your goal is to market your practice more effectively, develop a specialist clinical approach or to build a research database, this interactive workshop will stimulate and support you in your approach.

Facilitator – David Levy, MHSc (Ed), D. Hom, N.D
David has conducted two audits and is currently in the midst of a third personal practice audit. His interest in research has been a primary motivation, but also a need to simply find out ‘what works’ and ’what isn’t working’. In this hands-on workshop you will acquire a few basic tools as well as easily understood tips. We hope you gain the incentive to get started!
David is an experienced homeopath, lecturer and clinical supervisor. His post-grad studies, a Masters in Health Science Education cemented his interest in clinical auditing.
HARNESS YOUR SUCCESS - PARTICIPANTS REVIEWS
“It’s a bold claim, but I am going to assert that, in his “Harness Your Success” seminar on Sunday 14th March, David Levy might just have managed to make an audit look attractive! Through his reflections on the details of one of his own Homeopathy Practise audits, David demonstrated that instead of being a list of bland statistics, a practise audit can offer some practical and revealing insights on “how” we practise homeopathy, with whom and with how much success.
An audit of the details about our patients, their conditions and their homeopathic treatment, can help us to recognise patterns in our practise that may otherwise remain undistinguished in our day to day work. Also, once data has been collated, we can cross-match chosen parameters to see if particular aspects of treatment have any affect on one another. For example, in his own audit, David discovered an inverse correlation between symptom-improvement and the continued use of allopathic drugs simultaneous to homeopathic treatment. Further, an audit is an invaluable big-picture overview of the evolution of one’s practise which can inform how we market and grow our practises and also how to move forward with our own professional development as Homeopathic Practitioners.
Although David has been a teacher and presenter in Homeopathy Colleges and Seminars for many years I haven’t previously attended one of his speaking engagements and I very much appreciated his practical, intelligent presentation style and conspiratorial manner.
Those who attended the seminar were, by all accounts glad to have done so, and probably, like me, were surprised to take home a newfound passion for an audit!”

“I enjoyed the Harness Your Success workshop. It was helpful to learn about data collection, how it is relevant to us as practitioners and how to go about setting up basic data collection procedures. David shared the results of his own practice audits and how this information informed his decisions about his practice and highligted areas and trends he would have otherwise not been aware of. David was able to substantiate, through the data, something which we have known in theory, which is that those patients taking fewer allopathic medications showed the greatest improvements on homeopathic treatment.
I think it was a valuable workshop, and provided pragmatic suggestions regarding how to set up one’s practice to glean basic research data. It would be good for experienced homeopaths interested in research, while also helpful for new graduates wanting to start up their practices to gather patient data from the outset.”
